i really want a dog. my dog died about 2 months ago. i dont want a dog now, maybe a year or 2 from now, but i dont think my parents are even considering it. we have my dogs old toys, bed, foodbowl, and collar, so we pretty much have all the supplies for it. they said they didnt want to pay to get it fixed. how do i convince them to get a dog in the near future?

What are some good stores or online merchants to buy healthy dog treats that won't break my wallet?

Well you could research the dog you want really hard and then present the facts to your parents and sound serious. Keep on them about it and they will eventually give in.
The Happy Dog
Maybe in a year or two, your parents will feel differently. Though, if they can’t afford to pay to get it fixed, they’re probably correct to worry about not being able to pay for its food, vaccinations, worming and any expensive emergency vet’s bills which might come up. Toys, bed and collar are only a small part of what you need to care for a dog.
In the meantime, perhaps you could volunteer at a shelter – if you’re old enough to do so – so that you get some time and more experience with dogs. If there ever comes a time when your parents feel they can afford to own and are ready for the care of a new dog, that shelter can be their first port of call for information and advice.

If you are still in school get very good grades. You can also start doing more things around the house. Or, you can be nicer to your parents. Also, do research so your parents know what kind of dog you want.
